Welcome
There are two
reasons why I want to serve as your International Director.
First is my
dedication to service and the opportunity to pay forward to others
the benefits Toastmasters has given me.
Toastmasters has changed my life. It has helped me gain
the confidence to speak in front of others and to attain promotions
in my career.
Second is my
commitment to represent you, the leaders of Toastmasters, on the
board of directors, developing and implementing the strategic plan
for the benefit of us, our fellow Toastmasters and future
Toastmasters in our home districts and around the world.
A
Toastmaster since 2000, I have served as Area and Division Governor,
District 56 Spring Conference Co-Chair, DTM Chair, Club Coach Chair,
Lieutenant Governor Marketing and District Governor.
As District Governor, I led our district
officers to success, sharing my vision, setting attainable goals,
communicating action plans, motivating team members, delegating
effectively, and managing conflicts.
Under my leadership, District 56 became a distinguished
district for the third year in a row, providing a strong support
network to help our clubs be healthy and strong, thus enabling each
member to achieve his or her goals.
As
Lieutenant Governor Marketing, I led the marketing team to success,
chartering six new clubs in June, 2010, and chartering 20 more new
clubs during my 2010-2011 term.
I also implemented our district’s Club Coach Program, created
an Ambassador Program where members step outside of their clubs to
visit and support low-member clubs, organized a Membership Building
Workshop and a Club Building Workshop, and held Toastmaster booths
at trade shows and job fairs.
I am dedicated and
committed to representing you on the board of directors, paying
forward to others the benefits of the Toastmasters educational
program.
